Hole In The Sky is one of Black Sabbath's most famous songs. It is the opening track of thir album Sabotage. The song might refer to the feeling of being High(a state of drug usage where a person has no control of his actions, and is lost in his mind for a specified time period, rather like being drunk); then again, it could also refer to satanic references, assuming the song was written by Geezer Butler.

Pantera released a cover version of this song in their Greatest Hits album, being the last song the band recorded with the late Dimebag Darrell; Machine Head (band) covered this song in the Nativity In Black : A Tribute To Black Sabbath album; Metallica played this and Iron Man during Black Sabbath's inaugration in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
