The Spot-tailed Earless Lizard (Holbrookia lacerata) is a species of Phrynosomid lizard foundin Mexico, in the states of Coahuila, Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas, and in the United States, in south-central Texas. The species was once reclassified as a subspecies of the Lesser Earless Lizard, Holbrookia maculata, but has since been again elevated to full species status.

There are two recognized subspecies of Holbrookia lacertata:
- Northern Spot-tailed Earless Lizard, Holbrookia lacerata lacerata (Cope, 1880)
- Southern Spot-tailed Earless Lizard, Holbrookia lacerata subcaudalis (Axtell, 1956)
