Hofu, Yamaguchi

Hōfu (防府市 hōfu-shi?) is a city located in Yamaguchi, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 118,566 and the density of 628.70 persons per km². The total area is 188.59 km².
The city was founded on August 25, 1936.
Mazda maintains a large automobile factory in Hōfu.
