Hodges-Figgis

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hodges Figgis is a bookshop in Dublin, located on Dawson Street. It was founded over a century ago and is mentioned in passing in James Joyces' novel Ulysses.

The store briefly housed a coffee shop on the first floor, but this was removed in 2002 during renovations, to allow expansion of the space used for the shelving of stock. It is one of the largest bookshops in Dublin, rivaled only by the branch of Waterstones facing it across the street. Both stores are now part of the HMV group of companies.
