Talk:Hocico
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'll put this in the discussion as it might not be kosher in the actual article - though those looking up the group probably won't be offended! In an interview with IndustrialnatioN magazine Erk said they chose the name Hocico because of its use in phrases like "callate el pinche Hocico" (shut your f'n mouth) and "te voy a romper el Hocico" (I'll kick your ass) to basically convey the band's sound. The literal translation is already in the article, but I thought elaborating might help a little. In any case don't ask me Spanish questions! - Just writing what I read (IN Issue 17) Khiradtalk 04:12, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- WP:NOT#Wikipedia is not censored for the protection of minors. People who would be offended by that should better not look at the discography, as well, especially the cute "Live in Israel". Trying to sanitize Hocico is unnecessary, and would be disinformative. I have added "callate"; the other probably (no hablo espaƱol!) literally translates as "i am going to stomp you in the face"; I think putting that in the article as "kicking ass" would be too confusing for English readers.
