HMS Volcano

HMS Volcano was one of the Royal Navy bomb vessels involved in the attack on Fort McHenry in the Battle of Baltimore during the War of 1812. In this action she was commanded by David Price.

Prior to this action, Volcano had been involved in an unsuccessful attack on the Spanish fleet at Basque Roads in 1799; and, under the command of Thomas Brightman, she participated in the first Battle of Copenhagen in 1801.
