Eight vessels of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Tartar, after the Tartars:

Tartar (1801), 32-gun fifth-rate
Tartar (1814), 36-gun fifth-rate
Tartar (1854), captured Russian screw corvette
Tartar (1886), torpedo cruiser
Tartar (1907), Tribal-class destroyer
Tartar (F43), Tribal-class destroyer
Tartar (F133), Tribal-class / Type 81 frigate
