HMS Revenge (1805)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Revenge, launched in 1805, was a third-rate of 74 guns. Newly commissioned, and captained by Robert Moorsom, she fought at the Battle of Trafalgar. She sailed in Collingwood's column.
Revenge served until 1842, being broken up in 1849. She was one of the first warships of the Royal Navy to be painted with the Nelson Checker.
There have been many other Royal Navy ships named HMS Revenge, including a present-day Submarine.
