HMS Loch Fada (K390) was the lead ship of the Loch class of frigates of the Royal Navy, pennant number K390 and named after Loch Fada in Scotland.

She was launched on 14 December 1943 at Clydebank in Scotland and commissioned in April 1944. She was attached to Captain Johnny Walker's 2nd Escort Group which was detailed to guard the Western Approaches of the British Isles. She was involved in the sinking of the U-boats U-327 and U-1018 using depth charges on 27 February 1945 near Penzance, Cornwall.

After the war, from 1946 onwards she was attached to the Londonderry Flotilla until she went for refitting at Portsmouth in 1953. Thereafter she operated in the Persian Gulf and in 1955 took Archbishop Makarios into exile from Cyprus to the Seychelles. After a period of fishery protection during the first Cod War between Great Britain and Iceland she served in the Far East and was involved in the Indonesian Confrontation. She was used as a testbed in the development of Sea Wolf surface to air missiles in 1969 and finally scrapped in 1970.
