HMCS Snowberry (K166)

HMCS Snowberry (K166) was a Canadian Flower-class corvette serving in the Battle of the Atlantic during World War II, escorting convoys. Unlike most Canadian Flower-class corvettes, which were named after smaller Canadian cities, Snowberry followed the Royal Navy horticultural naming convention.
- Laid down on February 24th 1940.
- Launched on August 8th 1940.
- Commissioned on 26th November 1940.
- Forecastle extended on May 14th 1943.
- Decommissioned and handed over to the Royal Navy June 8th 1945.
- Scrapped August 1947.
The museum ship HMCS Sackville, currently moored in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is the only surviving Flower-class corvette.
