HMCS Halifax

Two Canadian Forces naval ships have been named HMCS Halifax, after the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- The first HMCS Halifax was a Flower-class corvette that served in the Second World War. The Halifax served from its commission in November 1941 to the end of the war, when it was taken out of service in July 1945.
- The second HMCS Halifax is the lead ship for the Halifax-class of frigates. It was commissioned in 1992 and has served throughout the world, representing Canada's navy at home and abroad.
