HMCS Eastview (K665)

HMCS Eastview was a River Class Frigate of the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. It was built by Canadian Vickers, Ltd. of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and was laid down on August 26, 1943 and launched on November 17, 1943. She was commissioned on June 3, 1944 and ended her service on Jan 17, 1946. She was sunk along with other former navy ships as part of a breakwater in Comox, British Columbia, Canada. She is named after the Ottawa suburb of Eastview, Ontario (1909-1969), which is now the Vanier, Ontario district of Ottawa. Other dates found for this ship:
