HMAS Maryborough

HMAS Maryborough (J-195/B-248/A-122), named for the city of Maryborough in Queensland, was a Bathurst class corvette built by Walkers Limited at Maryborough in Queensland, launched on 17 October 1940 by Mrs. A. Goldsmith, wife of the general manager of Walkers, and commissioned on 12 June 1941. HMAS Maryborough paid off in December 1945, was sold to the Australian General Trading and Shipping Syndicate on 9 May 1947 and renamed Isobel Queen, and was sold for scrap to Carr Enterprises in Brisbane in 1953.
