HMAS Junee

HMAS Junee (J-362/M-362), named for the town of Junee in New South Wales, was a Bathurst class corvette laid down by Poole and Steele at Balmain in New South Wales on 17 February 1943, launched on 16 November 1943 by Mrs. J. S. Rosevear, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and commissioned on 11 April 1944. HMAS Junee paid off to reserve at Fremantle in Western Australia on 21 August 1957, and sold for scrap to Mr. W. G. Davies of Fremantle on 18 June 1958.
