HMAS Arunta

Two ships of the Royal Australian Navy have borne the name 'HMAS Arunta, derived from the Arrernte aboriginal people from central Australia.

The first Arunta was a Tribal-class destroyer commissioned in 1942.
The second Arunta is an Anzac-class frigate commissioned in 1998.
