Hither Green is an area of London, United Kingdom. It is a suburban development which forms part of the London Borough of Lewisham and is located 6.6 miles (10.6 km) south east of Charing Cross.
Hither Green has two main clusters: Hither Green village and Hither Green Lane. In Hither Green, there are shops, churches and pubs. Hither Green is known for being the site of a the Hither Green rail crash, in which 49 people were killed in 1967.
The area is relatively quiet but is situated between the shopping facilities in Lewisham and Catford and has direct transport links to central London.
