Might want to clean up the spelling mistakes in this article, eh? They are pretty basic; if you have the information to create the article surely you can write in literate English. Masalai 12:47, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Excuse me? Who said you could be so rude? I just looked this over and found one spelling mistake, i'm not perfect I do this on my own time and I certainly don't need this tone of crap from you.--Cloveious 21:55, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Cloveious, you should calm down. Unfortunately, on Wikipedia, you're going to have to deal with people like Masalai. Masalai, don't be a dick. If you spot spelling errors, please correct them instead of telling someone else to do so. We're all volunteers here. Cloveious has researched and written this article almost exclusively on his/her own. He/she should be congratulated for writing such a great article, and thanked for taking all of this time to share knowledge with other people. I went through and did a copyedit. I found only a few minor spelling errors, and improved some of the formatting and wording. But all in all, it was a pretty well-written article. I have seen much, much worse than this on Wikipedia, and seen it a lot. This article was in fairly good shape. Of course it could be improved, but every article in wikipedia can be improved. Perhaps you should focus on helping to improve articles, rather than telling other people to do so. Ground Zero | t 23:01, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Successful GA nomination

I am passing the page for the good article status. The article does not yet meet the featured article criteria but it is certainly well constructed and well documented. The article could use some more "hard" references and the writing could be better although it is quite good. There was some concern in the FA nomination about the lack of editors who have contributed significantly and I think that's a valid point. It would be a healthy process to try and find other knowledgeable editors who can cross check the presentation and comment on the content. Mind you Northwest Territories experts are not exactly clogging Wikipedia but an effort in this sense should be made. Also congrats to Cloveious for the hard work. I suggest his/her next project should be to create a more general article about the history of the Northwest Territories as it seems rather odd that only the history of its capitals currently has an entry.
