[edit] Photos

I think that these photos should be placed in the main article itself, where many others can find it. --Jontsang 14:26, Apr 3, 2005 (UTC)

I think these were split off into a seperate article because they were getting numerous. I don't see that anyone would be in any way unable to find these images, as this images page is clearly linked from the main 1906 earthquake article. Other opinions? -- Infrogmation 03:59, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Gallery markup?

Hi. I just noticed the use of the <gallery> tag to make thumbnails on this page. I think it is a good idea, but we end up with images far too small in this case. In particular, the panaoramas are hard to identify. Would anyone object if I revert? Thanks. --ChrisRuvolo 02:31, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I wouldn't object. Galleries are very useful, but not always the best solution. -- Infrogmation 03:11, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] This page is linked from...

This page will be linked from the WGBH history education webpages for the PBS movie "The Great San Francisco Earthquake", a permanent education site aimed at school teachers and students. - Amgine 18:42, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Move to Commons?

Would anyone object if i moved these pics to Commons? xxpor ( Talk | Contribs ) 02:21, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

i was thinking the same thing. go right ahead and we can get this page deleted--Jiang 10:59, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
This gallery page was created before the Commons, and is the type of thing that would go there now. I don't object to it being moved there. Note that the majority of the images here came from my personal collection of original period materials; please remember to include proper attribution. Note as well that the page is referenced by other sites (see "This page is linked from..." above); so after the contents of this page are duplicated on the Commons, perhaps this could be made into a redirect to the Commons? -- Infrogmation 13:31, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
  • I say we merge the photos into a gallery on the article page. --evrik (talk) 20:52, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Needs immediate attention?

Why was this article assessed as "needing immediate attention"? The article is of low importance, it doesn't have any major dispute templates added to the article, and there doesn't seem to be any major formatting problems. BlankVerse 14:41, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I think because the article was of low quality. --evrik (talk) 18:08, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
