History of Wargaming in Sydney
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wargaming in Sydney has a history that goes back at least to the 1960s.
Originally, wargames in Sydney were table top miniatures a and board games.
Early centres for organised wargames were in a Salvation Army home in Bexley and at Lindfield.
Later in the late 1970s, role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons became popular. The Sydney University Tolkien Society was an early focus for this.
