Hirschau is a municipality in the district of Oberpfalz (Upper Palatinate) in Bavaria, Germany. It is located about 70 km east of Nuremberg.
Its sites of interest include Monte Kaolino, which is 120 m high (about 561 m above sea level) and contains 32,000,000 tons of quartz.
