Hippolyte Lucas

Hippolyte Lucas (January 17, 1814 – July 5, 1899) was a French entomologist.
Lucas was an assistant-naturalist at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle. From 1839 to 1842 he took part in the scientific Commission on the exploration of Algeria and occupied himself, for this reason, with the fauna of this country.
His brother was Prosper Lucas.
