Hilton Quota

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hilton Quota (in Spanish, Cuota Hilton) is a quota applied to Argentine beef imported by the European Union. It consists on 28,000 tonnes of high-quality beef to be supplied by Argentine producers during an annual cycle that starts every 30 June, and which enjoys tariff-free status.

Germany is the world's largest importer of Argentine beef, which has been appreciated there since the 1980s. It buys almost a third of the total beef imported by the EU.
