Hillesøy is a former municipality in Troms county, Norway.

It was created by a split from Lenvik in 1855 (or 1871, the sources do not concur). In 1855 Hillesøy had a population of 855.

On 1 January 1964 the districts on Kvaløya as well as the islands north of Hekkingen, with 1.316 inhabitants in total, became a part of the enlarged Tromsø municipality. The rest of Hillesøy, with 1.159 inhabitants, was reunited with Lenvik.
