Hill-Rom, Inc., is a company that makes hospital beds, furniture, and other health care equipment. It was founded on October 23, 1929 by William A. Hillenbrand. Originally, the company crafted wooden furniture for hospitals.
Hill-Rom is one of two wholly owned subsidiaries of Hillenbrand Industries, the other being the Batesville Casket Company. Hill-Rom made up 65% of Hillenbrand Industries' revenue in 2004.
The company has facilities in several cities, including Acton, MA, Batesville, IN, Cary, NC, Charleston, SC, Pluvigner, France, and St. Paul, MN.
