Nonsense post (and something about archives to make it worthwhile)

I've managed to run across your talk page right after another archivization, and I felt the need to continue my trend of having the first message in the new section! I don't really have much to say, except that your archive descriptions crack me up, even if you're talking about something negative. It's very amusing. -- Natalya 22:26, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

I knew it wasn't unsigned, but I realized just in time that if I deleted one tilde it would sign my name, not yours. ;) -- Natalya 23:31, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

EWS23's RfA

Hi Highway! I was very happy to have your support at my request for adminship, as well as your positive comments on Wikipedia talk:Esperanza some time ago. It also brings a smile to my face whenever people take the time to call me Eric (as I make clear at the top of my user talk page) :o) . Thank you for that. Please, feel free to leave me a message if there's ever anything you feel I could be doing better. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 23:35, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

CorbinSimpson's Request for Adminship

Thanks for voting in my request for administrator rights, even though it failed (13/30/4). Sadly, work has forced me to respond to you all using a substituted message rather than a personalized response. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that administrators, to me, should be chosen and approved by the community, and I will continue working to become a better editor and Wikipedian. No matter what the alignment of your vote was, I will take your comments seriously and use them to improve myself. If you wish to discuss your comments personally with me, I would be more than glad to talk about things since the RfA is now over; just leave your concern on my talk page and we will sort things out. Thanks again for voting, and happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I saw your post on Natalya's user talk page, and so I decided to check it out. I read your concerns on the talk page, and I think I've come up with a solution that will please both sides. [1] (I have also placed a post on Talk:Super Smash Bros. Brawl.) Let me know what you think. :o) EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 01:19, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Glad to see that EWS23 has used his awesome skills to find a good compromise. :) -- Natalya 11:11, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Definitly still thinking and interested, definitly feeling more comfortable with the idea. -- Natalya 16:04, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
If you feel confident, I would be honored. :D (Definitly not the perfect candidate, but hopefully good enough) -- Natalya 16:13, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Exciting! I am truly honored by your confidence. -- Natalya 16:37, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Accepted, questions answered, posted to WP:RfA! -- Natalya 17:34, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
It's definitly the best (and most unique) birthday present ever! Shoes are very cool, but a nomination for adminship pretty much beats everything. :) -- Natalya 18:27, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Natalya's RFA

<attack style="personal">Who do you think you are?!!! Who gave you permission to nominate Natalya for adminship? You don't own Wikipedia, you know! I was supposed to be the nominator. You don't know who you're messing with! I won't take this lightly, Highway! You're are now officially off my Christmas list! How do you feel now? Do you still want to be the nominator? Yeah, that's what I thought! Next time, think twice before you nominate such a great user for adminship! I'll have my eye on you!</attack> --TantalumTelluride 19:21, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

You guys crack me up (I'm almost crying because I'm laughing so much)! -- Natalya 19:53, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Questions

Yep, sorry for the delay, I'm just finishing up the second one - wanted to mull over them to give the best answers. Can't be disapointing my nominator, now can I? :) -- Natalya 21:06, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Nurse Joy

When looking through Natalya's talk page, I saw the discussion about Nurse Joy and the AFD. It's not for Deletion review, as it is an editorial decision; you can expand the article at any time, and since the stub is not the same as the sub-stub that was nominated, the AFD does not necessarily apply. That said, if you expand it, expand it in a big chunk so it isn't re-reverted. Titoxd(?!? - help us) 22:03, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Glad this one was taken care of too (my talk page seems to be popular lately!) -- Natalya 23:10, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
The article does look rather nice! It's pretty crazy, I'm so impressed by all the support - I don't think I've stopped smiling :) -- Natalya 23:16, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Re:Caption cleanup

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who cleans up after this guy. Thanks! Can you add it to WP:AIV for me? I'm not sure how to format it... -- RattleMan 23:58, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Music of Dominica

Thanks, the relisting was deliberate. It failed for three reasons, one of which I've addressed, the other two are not good article criteria. I agree with the failure of the first nomination (and thus it needs no review), and have, IMO, fixed the issue so that it now meets WP:WIAGA. More details are noted on the talk page. Tuf-Kat 14:59, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

No problem, that's what I figured. I'm just stuck at home, sick, without a working car and waiting for a phone call, so I've got nothing to do but check my watchlist and see what I can do quickly and easily. Tuf-Kat 15:08, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

You are not alone...

...the last two FACs I nominated, I withdrew beacuse of the neagtivity there. Another featured article, that was successful was posted on FARCs without any notification. I don't really now you well, but I want you to know that you are not the only person frustrated with FACs and that I think it would be a shame not to be able to know you better because that frustration drove you away from wikipedia. I hope you will accept this cool refreshing glass of Southern Sweet Tea at right, and that you will feel better soon. -JCarriker 22:24, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

I was actually coming regarding the HoboWars AfD to ask you to expand you comment (which right now is just a vote) into something larger per the Wikipedia:Guide_to_deletion#Discussion. However, I too have at times been concerned at the tone of FAC-land, so I'll instead mentally send some warm and fuzzy vibes your way. If you ever want help polishing an article, drop a note on my talk.

Hey, sorry to see that you're stressed out. It might seem to you that "everyone hates me here. I mean hates." , but it's not the case. I'm quite new to Esperanza, but it was people like you, Natalya, EWS23, and JoanneB, and their nice, sensible nature that made me want to join and be a part of it. Whenever I see your edits they make sense to me, and it makes me happy to see a user like you.
If you ever feel like you need to talk about stuff like this, I'm always here to listen. I know that Wikipedia can be a very, very lonely place sometimes, and that it often seems like no one cares, but there are users here who care about you. I hope you start to feel better soon. Pokémon Galaxy wasn't a replacement for serebii.net. So to make it fair, we can wait till Pokémon Galaxy isn't ruined, and then we can have both links. Please write a message on my user page to show you have read this I Love Minun 12:01, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Let me explain about Pokémon Galaxy. Its going to be really good, probably even as good as serebii.net. The reason of the ads is because of its hosted using a free host. It got ruined trying to install a program, read the page yourself (even though you won't be able to make ideas yet.) I know all about because I created it. I Love Minun 12:13, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

How do we find out the kb/b size of an article? Alvin6226 15:57, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

I remember it now.. Is that the only way? Alvin6226 16:00, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Pokemon Galaxy Again

I know why Pokemon Galaxycrashed your screen. You must have been looking at it when I was updating the javascript. I had put an onLoad="poweer_down(); function for the body tag in HTML. You must have went on before I activated the function so it din't work.

To test it, right click the below link, select Open link in new window, then test it to see if it ruins your window again.

Pokemon Galaxy

By the way, Pokemon Galaxy will have an extremely detailed walkthrough for every version of the Pokemon video games, a Pokemon anime guide and even an arcade, it will have a really cool layout and also music.

RE:Iloveminun

No problem. To settle this little dispute between one another, I would suggest a CheckUser. If he really has nothing to hide, he shouldn't have a problem with it. Cheers, and good luck with your situation with Iloveminun. DGX 20:40, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Depends, what has PokemonFan done? DGX 06:52, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Ok. Well, since Iloveminun has repeatedly said that he has no sockpuppets and it turns out he was lying, that is a direct violation of WP:SOCK. I would echo the results and this one more time at WP:AN/I or WP:AN (your choice). The end result should be as follows:
  • Iloveminun: allowed to edit
  • PokemonFan: indef blocked per CheckUser results
  • Po132 and Minun132: Nothing, because they are inactive accounts
Since it appears the other accounts are inactive, theres really nothing that can really be done unless they start editing again. Iloveminun shouldn't be blocked, he has made some useful contributions and usually the puppet master isn't blocked; just the puppets. But PokemonFan on the other case, should be blocked indefinantly per the CheckUser results. Hope this helps. If you would like, I will help wih your post on the admin's board if you like. DGX 07:09, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Wait! The other two aren't inactive. They might not be puppets of Iloveminun but Minun132 should be blocked for being an abusive sockpuppet of Po132. I would make it like two seperate cases whenever you bring up to the admin's board. You don't want to get confused. :s DGX 07:15, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Maybe you should hold off with the request until I'm online again, because I'm leaving for now. It 3:24 a.m. where I am, so I gotta get some shuteye. Peace! DGX 07:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I'm back online, whenever your ready. But something new just struck me. I did look through Minun132's contributions and since he was only used to join the WikiProject, it's better to just leave him alone since the account doesn't appear to be active. If it starts editing again on something like tfd or the like, thats when it should be looked into again. I would just watchlist him for now.. The only real thing we need to report on WP:AN is Iloveminun and PokemonFan. DGX 13:34, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
You should link the CheckUser results and a few of Iloveminun's edits saying he had no sockpuppets. A few diffs to the abusive nature on tfd will help too. DGX 13:48, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry... where you waiting for me to post the info on WP:AN? I will if you want. DGX 14:31, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I noticed you tagged Po132 and Minun132's userpages as sockpuppets. While they are socks, maybe we should only tag one of them since he appears to still use the Po132 account. DGX 14:40, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
No problem with the wait. Hope you feel better. DGX 15:05, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Replacing

Alvin6226 drops a bell. Which article are you talking about where a bunch of images have to be replaced? Alvin6226 01:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

You are going to have to be more specific. Alvin6226 19:13, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I will be gone most of the day today, but I will get to it as soon as I can... Alvin6226 19:32, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I am done with the one's you have found. I will keep a lookout for others. Alvin6226 03:03, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Adminship

Hey.. you, I was going through the admin archives and I checked your name and noticed you'd never been nominated at all for adminship. Rather than going out of my way and writing a nom, then you declining it, I thought I'd ask instead if you were interested. (I'm a good RfA streak recently, I nominated Natalya.. and got attacked for nominating such a great user.) I know we don't always see eye to eye, but I respect your decisions and I think you could do good with the admin. My only concern is that some people may find you slightly... aggressive? If you'd like to try anyway, drop me a bell. Cheers, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 22:23, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Psst. Down here. ; ) Highway Rainbow Sneakers 22:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I saw it the first time. Well, I am interested, but indeed, I think I am likely too brusque for a most users, and I am still composing my answers to the nominee questions. A few weeks ago, I might have told you to proceed anyway, however, I am currently embroiled in a nasty edit war with User:Hyrule on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, as he insists we treat his fan site as a major media outlet and accept it as a source. I believe this would reflect badly on me were my conduct to be scrutinized at the moment. Perhaps in a month or so, when this has died down. You needn’t ask again. Regards, -- WikidSmaht (talk) 22:53, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
P.S.: I read a bit of Natalya’s RfA. You are too sensitive about Torchic.

Hate?!

Image:Esperanza.Fhloston.jpg
Esperanza hopes that your stress will blow away soon.

Please rest assured that is not the case. No one hates you on Wikipedia, including myself. It's important to remember that we are all different; we think, act, and sound different, and therefore that can be the source of many positive as well as negative effects. We are all human, and everything happens for a reason, remember that. I want you to know if you want to discuss what is going on, you know where to find me. Good luck to you. --Pilot|guy 02:09, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your comments in Lar's RfA!

We are here to build an encyclopedia!

Hi there, and thank you for your supportive comments in my request for adminship! With a final tally of (109/5/1), I have been entrusted with adminship. It's been several weeks since the conclusion of the process, so hopefully you've had a chance to see me in action. Please let me know what you think! Thanks again, and I will do everything I can to justify the trust you've placed in me! ++Lar: t/c 03:25, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Re : Torchic FAC

Celestianpower's Bulbasaur FAC did not went without contraversy, which even spilled over to his RfB. This may somewhat explain why you may have such a difficult time trying to push this one forward. Kirill Lokshin is an excellent editor, and I think he'll be more than happy to assist you in your FAC. - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 14:32, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Perhaps the aftertaste over the Bulbasaur FAC hasn't gone away as a precedent, which in turn may have affect all other Pokemon-related FACs, perhaps explaining why someone actually told you to write another topic. - Mailer Diablo 14:40, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Three is nothing, I have worked on a FAC that has failed its test five times, and still not is now. - Mailer Diablo 14:52, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
      • I'll have a look through later and let you know. Got some books/reading to clear. ;) - Cheers, Mailer Diablo 15:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
        • Apologies for the delayed reply. I did a quick glance through the FAC. Perhaps a secondary source may be like this : [2], you may wish to search along this line (i.e. non fan-sites). For the concern about having a Pokemon viewpoint, I think it is more of a request to have the prose be in layman's language. - Cheers, Mailer Diablo 12:16, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
          • At your discretion. A source is to back up lines on articles, where people would think "where did this come from". - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 13:08, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Iloveminun's sockpuppet

You're request on WP:AN was fulfilled by Septre. PokemonFan is now blocked and Iloveminun has been warned. Cheers! DGX 16:24, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Your welcome. But please don't feel embarrssed. I used to have an account before this one. LOL, a sock. ;-) But I left that account because of another user stalking me. I could take that anymore. Hope it doesn't happen with this account. ;-) DGX

Oh, so now I'm a pedophile?? ;-) DGX 19:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Well, anyways, the piece of information I was going to e-mail you I didn't want circulating on the Internet, so I better just wait until my e-mail works again before I send you that message. Pretty fishes though. ;-) DGX 19:09, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Glad I know I have "potential" to be a pedophile. Your probably older than me. ;-) DGX 19:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
No, I can't produce an age bracket, because I don't know what a age bracket is. ;-) DGX 19:17, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Not sure what you mean, but what you're in your early teen years? I'm in my late teen years. DGX 19:21, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter, Issue 2, June 2006

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter
Issue 2 – June 2006

Beatles News
  • Apple Corps v. Apple Computer. A case brought by Apple Corps against Apple Computer, regarding possible infringement of a previous agreement between the two parties in respect of distribution of music, was heard in a London High Court. The story made Wikipedia's front page due to a nomination by our own Kingboyk. The story had an amusing second wave in the news and on Wikipedia; be sure to read the article on Guy Goma if you missed it!
Project News
  • The Beatles article has been approved for inclusion in Wikipedia Version 0.5, making it one of the first 20 articles to be selected and the first in the Music category.
  • The hottest Project page this month has been Policy Talk, where some lively discussion has taken place regarding the (perennial) question of the capitalisation of the letter T in "The Beatles". After seeking the comments of Wikipedian third parties unrelated to the project, the proponents and opponents concluded that the current naming policy was correct. The discussion had the added bonus of bringing in some new members.
Member News
  • Project member (and "co-instigator" of The Beatles Project) Lar was made an Administrator. Project member Kingboyk (the other guilty party) has been awarded a Music Barnstar for his contributions, including his work within The Beatles Project, and has also stewarded the KLF article to Featured Article status this month. Sometimes-contributor ZincOrbie has also been awarded a Barnstar for his work on the Badfinger article. Congratulations to all!
Issue of the Month

The matter of the article History of the Beatles and the History section of the main article The Beatles continues to concern various editors, including DavidWBrooks and Vera, Chuck & Dave. Suggestions, comments, or help with the task would be much appreciated.

Blnguyen's RfA

Hello Highway Cello. Thank you for your support at my request for adminship which ended at the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation. You can see me in action and observe what then happened as a result. If you need admin assistance, feel free to ask me. Naturally, if I make any procedural mistakes, feel free to point them out. I look forward to working with you in the future, hopefully as an admin. Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 04:08, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
