Highway 372 (Oregon)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Oregon Highway 372, also known as the Century Drive Highway is an Oregon state highway which runs from the city of Bend to the Mount Bachelor ski resort. It is nearly 22 miles long. OR 372 is commonly confused with the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and a (larger) regional route known as Century Drive; however it is a distinct entity.

[edit] Description
OR 372 begins at an interchange with the U.S. Highway 97 (the Bend Parkway) in Bend. It heads west along Colorado Avenue to the city of Bend, until an interchange with Century Drive. It then continues to head west, for a total of 22 miles, until it terminates at the entrance to the Mount Bachelor Ski Resort.
[edit] Confusion with other routes
Other than the Colorado Avenue segment in Bend, OR 372 is also known as part of the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and Century Drive. Both routes continue west past the ski resort (where OR 372 ends), around the north side of the mountain, then turn south along the mountain's west side. The route traverses numerous Cascade lakes. South of Crane Prairie Reservoir, the two routes split; with the scenic byway continuing to head south towards its terminus at Oregon State Route 58. Century Drive instead heads back to the east, north of the Wickiup Reservoir, and then heads northeast parallel to the western shore of the Deschutes River. It eventually crosses the river, runs north for several miles, and then terminates at an intersection with U.S. Highway 97 near the resort community of Sunriver.
