Highway 101 (Ontario)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Highway 101 is one of the most isolated routes in Ontario's King's Highway system. It runs from Highway 17 at Wawa easterly to the Quebec border near Rouyn-Noranda. It passes through Chapleau, Foleyet, Timmins, South Porcupine, Porcupine and Matheson. It measures just under 400 km in length, all 2-lane paved except for the 4-lane, undivided section from Mountjoy Rd to South Porcupine, in the City of Timmins.

Within Timmins, the highway also has the street names Riverside Drive in the Mountjoy area, Algonquin Boulevard downtown, Schumacher Drive in Schumacher, Herald Avenue in South Porcupine and King Street in Porcupine.

At the Ontario-Quebec border, the roadway continues eastward as Quebec route 388.
