[edit] Episode recap
Nancy is at Valley State, a local college, looking for a tutor for Silas when she runs into Doug. He is there to attend a small business lecture and, in the process, find clients for his firm. As she leaves, Nancy sees some students smoking pot.
Scott has a new friend, Max, and Andy helps them cheat on their science test by ordering the Teachers' Edition of their textbook. When he meets Max's attractive mother Eileen, he invites her to stay for dinner, which becomes sex.
Celia is in hospital awaiting surgery. She sits with Isabelle, and seems much more relaxed about her daughter's weight, and life in general.
Silas' tutor, Sanjay, is looking for money so Nancy sees an idea. She soon involves Sanjay and some of his friends in dealing pot at the college. Silas, meanwhile, is amazed that Nancy and Sanjay have both taken time to learn some sign language to talk with Megan.
Celia's mother comes to visit before the surgery. She is a woman obsessed with fitness, and has deluded ideas of her own charity. Celia, in comparison, looks perfect, and the new understanding she's established about life in the wake of her cancer, makes her understand her mother's oppression.
Nancy is at Heylia's when Sanjay rings, and Nancy casually says she's at her dealer's house. Heylia sits Nancy down and gives her a few lessons about running a pyramid of dealers. Nancy gets disposable cell phones for her employees and lays down the law.
Andy and Eileen continue their relationship each time the boys play, but Eileen is getting increasingly violent and Andy wants to call it off. Nancy tells him not to do this, as it will screw up the boys' friendship.
Walking back to her car at college, Nancy discovers that someone has thrown dozens of pennies at her car, creating tiny dints. Conrad and Heylia think she must have made an enemy.
Celia's mother grows too overbearing, and the family agree to shut her out. When she comes back after a walk, the doors are locked and the curtains drawn.
Andy is growing tired of the sex, until at last he can't get an erection and Eileen breaks things off, but decides to let the boys' friendship remain. Nancy consoles Andy, but takes the time to mischievously hint that it might be a long-lasting condition.
The doorbell rings and when Nancy answers it, the fountain is covered in pennies. Her enemy is nearby...
