High Society was Bing Crosby's fourth long play album, but his first recorded with Capitol Records. It was the album for the feature film "High Society", also released in 1956.
Bing's exclusive recording contract for Decca expired at the end of 1955 and Bing chose to free-lance. This album features the cast of the movie "High Society" singing the movie soundtrack.
Bing Crosby joked after his recording of True Love with Grace Kelly went gold that it was the only gold recording to feature a real life Princess.
All music and lyrics are written by Cole Porter
