The rank of High Admiral has also appeared in David Weber's Honor Harrington series of novels. First introduced in The Honor of the Queen, the rank of High Admiral is the highest rank in the Grayson Navy, and is usually a rank bestowed upon the senior uniformed officer in the Navy. Three Grayson High Admirals have appeared so far in the Honorverse novels: Bernard Yanakov, ??? and Wesley Matthews (who was promoted to High Admiral and became Commander of the Grayson Navy after the Battle Yeltsin I).
