Hidden & Dangerous 2 is a tactical shooter computer game developed by Illusion Softworks and published by Gathering of Developers. The player takes on the role of a four man Special Air Service (SAS) team during World War II, conducting a wide variety of operations behind enemy lines. The game is set in a number of World War II battle theaters, including everything from Burma to Norway.

The game failed to win a large following in North America despite receiving well above-average reviews, due partly to the release of similar games, such as Call of Duty, and because of the many bugs that remained in the game in spite of successive, and often large, patches; a problem shared with the first game. However, the game became popular in Europe, selling millions of copies. As with Mafia, which was also developed by Illusion Softworks, the game centers around realistic gameplay and immersive environments. Weapon and vehicle physics are detailed and fairly accurate, more so than most games of similar genre during its time. For example, if the player fires his rifle at a wooden door, the projected bullets will enter the room on the other side, possibly causing damage to the enemy soldiers within.

Sabre Squadron, an expansion pack released during October of 2004, introduced new levels, new weapons, and a co-operative multiplayer mode. Some clans have released unnoffical muliplayer co-operative maps, modified from those available in the single player game.
