Hidayet Türkoğlu, sometimes called as Hedo/Hido Türkoğlu and usually Hedo Turkoglu in English (born March 19, 1979 in İstanbul, Turkey), is a professional basketball player, and the first Turkish-born player in NBA history.

He stands 208 centimetres (6' 10") tall and plays mainly the small forward position. Renowned for his long range shots, he is a solid shooter inside and outside the three point line. He is a versatile player who has played four positions from point guard to power forward during his career. In his rookie season, he was also renowned for his defense but lately he has become more of a scorer.

He was selected with the 16th pick by the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the 2000 NBA Draft from one of İstanbul's and Turkey's top clubs, Efes Pilsen. In 2003 he was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in a three-team trade that sent Brad Miller of the Indiana Pacers to the Kings while acquiring Scot Pollard from the Kings and Danny Ferry from the Spurs; the Spurs also acquired Ron Mercer from the Pacers. Most recently he has signed with the Orlando Magic when he became a free agent in 2004. He is still playing for the Magic. At the same time he is a player of the Turkish national basketball team.

His name also inspired a Burger King menu called Hido Menu in Turkey during the first years of his NBA career. He has represented Turkey at all levels of international competition but controversially declined to play in 2006 World Basketball Championship.
