Hi's Eye

Hi's Eye is the student run weekly newspaper at Westfield High School located in Westfield in Union County, New Jersey.

Hi's Eye has an editorial staff of Journalism 3 seniors and is free from administrative prior review. The paper was established in 1935. Its slogan is "If it's Friday, and there's school, there'll be Hi's Eye." The paper publishes 33 issues per year with a monthly Arts and Entertainment insert called Iris. The Hi's Eye is unique among many student run newspapers in that it is a weekly and that it is completely self-funded.

Hi's Eye has won numerous awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, American Scholastic Press Association, National Scholastic Press Association, and the New Jersey American Civil Liberties Union.

The newspaper's advisors are Mrs. Rosemary DiBattista and Mr. Corey Walsh.
