Heworth station

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heworth railway station is a suburban interchange between bus, Northern Rail and Tyne and Wear Metro services. The station opened to heavy rail trains in November 1979, and to Metro trains in November 1981. It was the terminus of the Metro's Yellow line services (and the now defunct Red line services) until Pelaw Metro station opened in 1985.
