The arms of the Hereford and Worcester County Council, granted 26th June 1978 by the College of Arms.
The arms of the county council, crested in 1874, were based on those of Herefordshire county council, with additions for Worcestershire.
The wave across the centre is for the River Severn and the River Wye. Above the wave are black pears, from the arms of Worcester city council and Worcestershire. At the base is a Hereford bull's head.
The crest represents the three merging authorities: a bicorporate or two-bodied lion for the two county councils combined in one, supporting a pear for the county borough of Worcester.
The supporters were the same as those used by Herefordshire county council, but reversed in position.
