Herwijnen

Herwijnen (51°50′N 5°8′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Lingewaal, and lies about 11 km east of Gorinchem.

In 2001, the town of Herwijnen had 1494 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.34 km2, and contained 550 residences.[1] The statistical area "Herwijnen", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2470.[2]
