"Heroes" is a CD single by the Greek-Swedish singer and Eurovision Song Contest winner, Helena Paparizou. Her song has been specially written to be the official theme song of the 2006 European Championships in Athletics.
Heroes is a track from The Game of Love, Helena Paparizou's album, which will be released on 25 October 2006. Heroes is also to be a track on the CD single, Gigolo, as this will be released internationaly.
Her song is mainly in English. The song doesn't contain any Swedish lyrics but does contain some Spanish such as viva los heros - cognate with long live the heroes with very little Greek such as "Nikes gia panta" - which means "victories forever".
The song of Helena "Heroes" was released in August 2006 in Sweden; becoming Helena's 5th Swedish single. It was her 1st single to go straight to number 1 in the country. When it entered the charts "Mambo!" was still charting. On September 10, 2006, the song entered the Swedish hitlist Svensktoppen.
