Hernan Bas (born 1978, Miami, US) is an artist based in Florida.

Bas graduated from the New World School of Arts [1] in Miami in 1995.

He has shown work internationally in many important exhibitions including the 2004 Whitney Biennial [2] in New York, “The Triumph of Painting” at the Saatchi Gallery [3] in London, “Garden Party” Deitch Projects [4] in New York, “Think Warm” at Tomio Koyama Gallery [5] in Tokyo and “New Figuration” at Galeri Christina Wilson [6] in Copenhagen. Bas is represented by Daniel Reich [7] in New York and Sandroni Rey [8] in Los Angeles.

Hernan Bas was recently named for December 2006 issue of Vanity Fair "Miami's Rising Star". His assistant Gustavo Fernandez is also a freelance artist, who dated Gianna Lage.
