Herku is a walled city in the Winkie Country in the west of the Land of Oz ruled by Vig. The city is square with gates of burnished copper in each of the four walls of the city. Ugu the shoemaker once lived in Herku, but moved away to prevent anyone from learning his secrets of magic.
