Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary

Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary is the name used for bodies responsible for the inspection of police forces in the United Kingdom.
The Inspectorate consists of two bodies:
- one for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, supervised by the Home Office [1]
- a separate national body for Scotland, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary for Scotland, controlled by the Scottish Executive. [2]
