Hepingli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hepingli (Simplified and Traditional Chinese: 和平里) is an area, predominantly residential, in Beijing, China.
It comprises of approximately 14 areas, or zones. Most buildings were built around the 1970s. In the early 2000s, most buildings were given a re-painting.
Hepingli also used to possess its own railway station -- Hepingli Railway Station. However, that station is now disused. The nearest Beijing Subway station in the area is in Liufang, just at the eastern outskirts of the area, home to a Line 13 CityRail stop.
Hepingli is mainly in Chaoyang District, although parts of it are also in Dongcheng District. The area is in the northeastern part of Beijing, between the North 2nd Ring Road and the North-Eastern 3rd Ring Road.
Heping West and East Bridges (on the 3rd Ring Road) are named after the region.
The area will soon have an expressway link -- the Jingcheng Expressway is ultimately expected to connect to the area between Hepingli and Taiyanggong.
