Hephzibah High School is a high school in the town of Hephzibah, GA, and part of Richmond County School District. Their mascot is The Rebels. Located in south Richmond County it is in a the small rural town of Hephzibah. With a student enrollment of 1245 it is in the states highest classification for varsity sports. One team in particular that stands out from the many other varsity football teams to have played at HHS is the 1985 rebels. No time since that time has had the talent and record that squad recorded. Led by future NFLer Arthur Marshall and hard hitting linebacker Noe' Rey Guerra that team missed the playoffs by one game but played future AAA region champ Westside led by former star Georgia Southern RB Joe Ross Jr to a standstill. Also on that squad was the duo of midgets Josh Teasley and Frank "Frankie" Davis, better known as the "ice cubes". Though they were (and still are) midgets they played bigger than their size. The 1985 squad was coached by Big John Mcleod and defense led by Larry "maniac" Milligan. Milligan now coaches the Greene County HS team. Though that squad didn't make the playoffs many of its members went on to play in the college ranks. The 1985 season was one of the few winning seasons in that schools history.
