From the article, it looks like he was appointed the governor in 1759 but took the office in 1760. It would be better if we clear up the ambiguity. The intro has it as 1759-64 but it is 1760-64 (it was 1765 till a moment ago) in Governor of Bengal. Britannica uses 1760-64. Tintin (talk) 00:45, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
