Henry Orenstein (painter)

Henry Orenstein is a Canadian artist: easel paintings, murals and set design. He was mention in Barry Lord's The History of Painting in Canada: Toward a People's Art (NC Press, 1974. 253 p. illus., col. plates). He was a painter before going on to being a designer for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Halifax.

  • Sarah Orenstein (Dora Award Winner) is the youngest of Henry's five daughters. She played a sharp-tongued feminist filmmaker in Brad Fraser's dark comedy, Cold Meat Party (2003).
