Henry Bennion Eyring (born May 31, 1933 in Princeton, New Jersey) is an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was the second child born to Henry Eyring and his wife Mildred Bennion.

Eyring was sustained to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church on April 1, 1995, and ordained an apostle following the death of President Howard W. Hunter. He is the son of noted chemist Henry Eyring and the nephew of Camilla Eyring Kimball, wife of President Spencer W. Kimball.

Before serving as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, he served as president of Ricks College (now Brigham Young University-Idaho) from 1972-1977 and then as a Counselor in the Church's Presiding Bishopric. Before these ecclesiastical appointments, Eyring was an associate professor of business at Stanford University. He was a Sloan Visiting Faculty Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Eyring received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Utah, where his father taught chemistry. He went on to earn a Masters and Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard University before embarking on a career in academia. Prior to his education at Harvard he spent two years in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Sandia Base, Albuquerque, NM.

He has served twice as Church Commissioner of Education, first from September 1980 to April 1985 and most recently from September 1992 to January 2005 when he was replaced by Elder W. Rolfe Kerr.[1]
