Hend Rostom (Arabic:هند رستم) is one of Egypt's most famous actresses. She is also credited as "Hind Rostom".

Hend was born in Alexandria on November 12, 1931. She started her career at the age of 16 with the movie "Azhaar wa Ashwak" or flowers and thorns. Yet, her first true success was in 1955 when the famous director Hassan Al Imam offered her a role in "Banat el lail" or "women of the night". Her famous movies include "Ibn Hamidu" in 1957, Youssef Chahine's "Bab elhadid" or "The iron Gate" with Farid Shawki in 1958, Salah Abu Seif's "La anam" or "I can't sleep" with Faten Hamama, Omar Sharif and Rushdy Abaza in 1958 and "Chafika el Keptia" or "Chafika the copt girl" in 1963. Hend is known as the queen of seduction in Egyptian cinema, and was given the title "Marylyn Monroe of the East". She decided to quit acting in 1979 because she wanted the audience to remember her at her best.
