HemInWo (or Hemionu) (2589–2570 BC) is believed to be the architect of the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt. He was a cousin [:Hawass] of Khufu, the Old Kingdom pharaoh whose pyramid it is. Archaeologists have found mentions of HemInWo with titles roughly translated as Master of works or Vizier. His tomb lies close to Khufu's in the pyramid, and contains reliefs with his image on them.
