Hemiscylliidae is a family of carpet and bamboo sharks in the order Orectolobiformes.

[edit] Taxonomic note
Two new species of epaulette shark, probably of genus Hemiscyllium, were discovered in September 2006 on an expedition led by Conservation International to Bird's Head Seascape in Papua.
