You tagged this image as PD-ineligible, but that can't possibly apply since it's a photograph. All photographs are automatically copyrighted to the person who took them. Please provide a more accurate license from Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. The image will be deleted soon if a correct license is not provided. DopefishJustin 20:52, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DYK

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article University of Liberia, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Albion Map.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Albion Map.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Dantooine II

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Dantooine II. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! Kimchi.sg 16:39, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

==Please Use Edit Summaries==

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Wikipediarules2221 20:44, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Battlestar Galactica episodes

Hi! I notice you've made quite a few moves to articles I created for episodes from the original Battlestar Galactica. I have a few things I'd like to discuss with you. First, I notice many of the episodes you moved to ones where the title of the show is appended in brackets. For example, you moved The Lost Warrior to The Lost Warrior (Battlestar Galactica). When I created these articles, I used this guideline to avoid doing this where no disambiguation is needed. (Out of all the episodes I made articles for, only The Long Patrol (Battlestar Galactica) needed the series title after it, as it was also the name of an article about the Brian Jacques novel of the same name.) Second, on many of my articles on two-part episodes, you've suggested they be deleted due to a guideline on two-part episodes being all in one article. If you can point this guideline out to me, I would appreciate it for my future articles. --BlueSquadronRaven 21:25, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

For the record, there is not a consensus on how to title these articles, and the naming issue is being hotly debated at Wikipedia_talk:Naming conventions (television). It would actually be better if all page moves stopped until after the discussion is concluded. --Elonka 07:02, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright problems with Image:LucyLawlessBSG.jpg

An image that you uploaded, Image:LucyLawlessBSG.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

[edit] Image:Mary McDonnell.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mary McDonnell.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 21:33, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
