Help Us Build

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

HUB (Help Us Build) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1975 in the province of Newfoundland, Canada to promote the integration of the province's physically disabled adults into society. This was achieved by providing and seeking out services for them such that they are giving back a meaningful contribution to the community and the workforce. The HUB also acts as an advocacy organization for the disabled.

Funded by a $35,000 grant from the Local Initiatives Project the old St. George's School on Merrymeeting Road was renovated to provide facilities for The HUB. Dr. N.J. Lush was elected the first president of The HUB. Over the years the HUB has provided an array of services for the disabled among which is a commercial operating printshop.
